This series tells the story of the Fourhold: an alliance of four ancient territories who seek to rebuild their societies in the wake of a hard-won war with a vastly stronger enemy. The series will contain four main novels and four companion pieces.
Book 1: A War of Ghosts and Lavender
A lingering spirit lives in the Vinley estate, a spirit left over from the Lavender War, when the invading Henrelian forces were pushed out of Celucia. Sam Vinley knows about this vengeful spirit, and he knows it still wages a war that ended long ago. The boy’s homeland bears the invisible and cosmic scars of past agonies.
However, some, including Sam’s own family, are skeptical of his claims. Sam contends against religious interests, political secrets, and his own inner chaos in the pursuit of restoration. He must discover a hidden revelation before the lingering spirit breaks his mind and scatters the pieces across time.
